Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
This is tough, because there are so many women I admire for such vast reasons. Every person deserves admiration, but to name a few, Mary Tyler Moore's character because of her bravery, perseverance and often unconventional (at the time) beliefs. Jackie at the South Boston Starbucks; wakes up everyday at 4am, ALWAYS has a smile on her face, no matter the circumstances and often harsh weather in New England. All the Fosters moms in the world that create a warm and loving home for innocent children. They are undeniably selfless angels on earth.
What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Do it and don't overthink it. Find a boss and a company that appreciates you and sets you up for success. Like anything in life, aim to over achieve. Work smart and always challenge yourself. Make yourself & your company better everyday. You WILL succeed.
If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
Sandra Bullock in "The Blind Side." Her character reminds me of how powerful compassion and class can be; giving back as she did would make me one happy gal.
If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
All expenses paid? I'm taking a plush vacation, straight to Dubai. Their architecture is fascinating and borderline surreal. There is so much I'd like to experience there; underwater zoo, Burj Al Arab, camel rides in the desert, Palm Islands to name a few.
