The world of marketing has changed as mediums such as social media and other digital methods of reaching people has entered the fray. Just like building different sales programs for different geographies is important, companies should also experiment with different ways of marketing, too, RSA's Pas said.
"We try a lot of different things, like social media, to see if that's resonating with partners and customers. And then we switch it up and when we bring it to a different region, it might not reach the people you want to reach because they might be looking for a personal touch," she said. "You have to keep on adjusting. Digital marketing is making our jobs exciting because it’s a lot of trial and error."
