Customer Experience Drives A Connection Economy

Ingram Micro's Anaya said she thinks the technology industry is entering a connection-driven economy in the coming years, with customer experience at the center.

"We're seeing that we're entering a connection economy in the next coming years. … If you think of all the technology as a service, it's about people connecting with people, systems connecting with systems, and people connecting with systems," she said. "What's new about this economy is that it's not about business outcome – it's about customer experience. That experience is very personal, and it has multiple meanings. No one person can really represent what that experience means to that one end user."
