Stefanie Ryan, the new leader of Strategic Channel Marketing at Aryaka, explains why it's better being an indirect marketing leader compared to direct, and the larger role women are playing in the channel.
As revenues skyrocket at over 150 percent year over year for Aryaka during its recent quarter, the SD-WAN specialist has hired Stefanie Ryan to lead the company's channel marketing push. Ryan plans to enhance Aryaka's Partner Program and give channel partners new marketing tools needed to win in today's networking market.
Ryan, previously the marketing director at cloud services provider RapidScale, talks to CRN Women of The Channel about why working in the channel is simply “more fun” and the increasing role women are playing in the industry.
“I remember when I started in the channel, and I was like, ‘Gosh, I'm one of very few women in this industry,'” said Ryan, the new Head of Strategic Channel Marketing at Aryaka. “It's typically been very male dominated and we're absolutely seeing a lot of women that are really thriving.”
