You gave us the mentors we craved

The 2016 Deloitte Survey showed that the majority of unsatisfied millennials cited a lack of leadership development opportunities as their reason for wanting to leave. But job satisfaction got a huge boost from one simple thing: Millennials with mentors love their jobs. Of those planning to stay at their current job longer than five years, 68 percent had mentors.

But, as more and more millennials take senior positions, this year's survey shows they are hungry to be mentors. Bonus: Most millennials have a positive view of Gen Z and believe that hands-on mentorship is the way to lead.

To give your company an extra loyalty boost, create a multi-tiered mentorship program. Invest in the development of millennials, and give them the opportunity to invest in turn.
