Soledad O'Brien: How (And Why) More Women Need to Tell Their Stories

O'Brien closed this year's Women of the Channel Leadership Summit with a keynote on why she believes it's so important for professional women to tell their story.

What's in a story?

At The Channel Company's Women of the Channel Event in New York City, award-winning journalist, documentarian, entrepreneur and philanthropist Soledad O'Brien closed the event with a keynote on the importance of storytelling.

O'Brien, a busy wife and mother of four, shared her experiences in journalism and the lessons she has learned around telling stories that matter. O'Brien discussed the value of details, context, emotions, and consistent messaging, while encouraging WOTC attendees to create their narratives.

Here's what O'Brien had to say, and why more women should tell their unique stories.
