Karina Hoisington, regional sales manager at the fast-growing solution provider, says building relationships with her customers – knowing their children's names and what they enjoy doing, for example -- is key to success.
So what's your overall view of women in the channel industry?
I think we're definitely lagging behind in the reseller space. Over all our account mangers, about 64 total, I think we have five female account managers, which has drastically changed. When I was hired by Sentinel, I was the only female account manager nine years ago for several years running. It is slowly changing, but it is definitely nowhere near where I feel the manufacturing space is.
