How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
Since officially completing the Dell and EMC merger in September 2016, our channel team has been busy building a partner program, designed in collaboration with partners and drawing from the best aspects of the former Dell and EMC partner programs. Launched on February 8, the Dell EMC Channel Partner Program provides unprecedented business opportunity for partner and reaffirms Dell EMC's strong commitment to the channel. In short, we delivered compelling partner programs and processes including: Line of Business incumbency for storage, servers and networking so partners' past investments are protected, fast tracked partners into the new Dell EMC Partner Program, and launched a new tier program including the elite Titanium Black status for our highest achieving partners. Further, we consistently communicated these changes at every possible turn including the first partner summit at Dell EMC World in October 2016. We've also launched the branding and architecture of the new Dell EMC Partner Program. We've hosted Regional combined Dell EMC Partner Advisory Board meetings in every geography in the world, to solicit feedback, and input from the partners on the decisions we made in unifying the programs, and openly collaborate with partners on an ongoing basis.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
We will continue to invest in the Dell EMC Partner Program and help our partners expand their business across all Dell EMC solution areas. Our goal is to push our channel program deeper into our route-to-market strategy, grow the channel and outpace the market. We are also focusing on enabling our partners to deliver and resell services based on what works best for their business. Partners can sell their own services, resell a combination of Dell EMC and their own services or resell Dell Services. We will continue to expand our Financial Services offerings to partners and their customers.

What honors, awards or commendations have you won over the past year?

Last year, Cheryl was honored as one of CRN's 25 Innovators of 2016 and CRN's Power 100 - Most Powerful Women of the Channel list. She was also honored as one of CRN's 20 Channel Chiefs to Watch.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
In previous years, I noted that I admire Condoleezza Rice, and that still stands. I also continue to admire Megyn Kelly for her tenacity and courage. I was fortunate to hear her speak about her personal journey and learnings at the Fortune 50 Most Powerful Women event. Her story, character, poise, strength, and self-awareness was authentic, and impressive. These qualities have continued to serve Megyn well as evidenced in her work, and her ability to remain un-compromised in her principles, values, and beliefs.

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Be yourself, and have confidence in your instincts and judgment. Always be open to challenging yourself and take opportunities to learn, no matter how uncomfortable and uncertain you may feel.

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
I really don't have a lot of time to watch movies. The free time I do have is spent with my family and friends

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
Mykonos, Greek Islands. I have always wanted to travel there as it's known to be a cosmopolitan and serene island with pristine beaches, vibrant nightlife and plenty of opportunity for some retail therapy in the many shops and boutiques.
