Biography and Background:
Laurie Dasher, President and CEO, established Dasher Technologies in 1999. While administering the overall organization and multiple locations, her primary focus is managing the finance and operations group. Prior to launching Dasher Technologies, she gained experience working for Ted Dasher, Inc. a Hewlett-Packard Channel Partner in the South East founded in 1982. While with Ted Dasher, she was able to obtain a wealth of knowledge and experience on how to successfully run a channel company. In 2009, Laurie purchased Ted Dasher, which gave Dasher Technologies a bi-coastal presence. She earned her BS in International Business from Auburn University. Outside of the office, you can find Laurie in Key West, where she actively competes in deep sea fishing tournaments and holds the World Record for Mangrove Snapper. She is an avid traveler with her two boys and enjoys the finer things in life, shoes and wine.
How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
With Laurie as a driving force, Dasher has continued its path to developing a wide array of solution competencies, including reinforcement of our security practice. One of the things a channel partner can do to stay ahead of our industry is to continuously look at new innovations but maintain a consistent path that our clients can rely on.
What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
The acquisition of new clients but more importantly selling solutions to our existing client base across more areas of our solution sets. We strive to have our clients see us as their holistic value added resource and their trusted adviser.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Condoleezza Rice. Politics has historically been a man's world, but Rice has shown she is equally adept to the challenge of working in that arena while maintaining her femininity. At age 50, she just played in the Pebble Beach Golf Pro-Am, which is a testament that anything is possible at any age.
What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
While technology is a man's world by sheer numbers, it doesn't need to be or need to be by impact. Accomplish the tasks and goals that are assigned to you, but aspire to drive success not only for yourself, but for the organization that you work for.
If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
As the mother of two boys, I still tend to find myself watching far too many animated films. I can identify with Moana. She was able to help someone to realize what they can become and it turn helped her.
If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
Tahiti. It is a tropical location and I could spend most of the time with sand beneath my toes and the rest of the time deep sea fishing, which is my true passion.
