Five Signs It's Time to Quit Your Job

All good things must come to an end - and all bad jobs, for that matter.

 

If you've caught yourself daydreaming about calling it quits, you're not alone: TopResume asked 500 career-driven people to describe the relationship they had with their job. Seventy-three percent described themselves as being in an "open" relationship, meaning they're open to hearing of newer (better) opportunities, while just 13 percent described themselves as being in a committed relationship with their current job, meaning they're happy and not looking elsewhere.

Why do people stay? For a number of reasons (including, um, paycheck and benefits). But it's critical to be honest with yourself, and not rationalize staying in a place that no longer serves you for months and years on end. Here are five surefire signs that it's time to blow the ink dry on your resignation letter and hand it over:
