Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
I admire Jill Billhorn, VP of Sales at CDW. She is a role model to me because of the strength and the level of confidence she carries and uses to propel her team forward. I've admired her since my first day in the workforce and have seen her take risks, be firm and confident with conviction in her decisions. I see her as a role model who has pushed the boundaries for women and constantly broken through that proverbial glass ceiling. I should probably let her know she is my mentor all these years.
What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Get smart. Work hard. Be confident in yourself. You are in total control of your own success.
If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
I admire and want to be as strong as Erin Brockovich in her pursuit against the Pacific Gas and Electric company who covered up the contamination of drinking water in southern California. Her conviction and commitment to persevere against one of the largest power companies and even more powerful law firms is admirable. There are few who believed in Erin's mission. She believed the unbelievable and succeeded.
If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
There is no SINGLE city that I want to travel. I want to travel everywhere in the world! From Europe to Gansu, China to the ice caves in Alaska to Machu Picchu, Peru to Galapagos Islands, Ecuador and all places in between.
