How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
Understanding what our customers need is key to the success of our product. This past year, we have implemented even more ways to make sure our customers are heard. We have met with more customers face-to-face in the past year than we had in previous years to help us understand the challenges our customers go through and use that information to build a better product for them. I helped our product teams define strategy and focus for future years. This has helped to unify our teams and propel them to do awesome things in the years to come.
What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
To continue to develop solutions in our application that solve the problems our customers face. We really focus on our customers' success. Also, to continue to leverage our current and future customer listening posts for feedback to incorporate into our product.
What honors, awards or commendations have you won over the past year?
I received the Certificate of Success for Extraordinary Achievement in ConnectWise Development.
Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
J.K. Rowling. She is a reminder that anything is possible if you truly work hard and do not give up. You do not have to accept where you at in life, you can change it if you really want to. She is philanthropic and continues to give back in many ways to help others.
What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Keep learning. Be a sponge for information both in technology and business. Don't be afraid to try something new. You will not only learn a skill but you will also learn something new about yourself.
If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
Vianne Rocher from Chocolat. She fought for what she believed in and even when everything was against her, she persevered. She had unrelenting drive and determination. Vianne had a wonderful heart and cared for others with no expectation of anything return. She was also an incredible chocolatier and made beautiful sweets. I love to bake and make sweets for those I care about and would like to be as great as she was in the movie.
If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
Tuscany, Italy. This is not a city but a region and I just love this area of the world. I have been to Florence, but would love the opportunity to explore the region even more. I love to cook and I think it would be fantastic to be able to take a cooking course, tour vineyards and take in all the culture and beauty of the region.
