How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
The past year has been an incredibly exciting year for Burwood Group. It marks our 20 year milestone and hitting $100 million in sales. One of my top priorities has been to accelerate the growth of our western region, create additional brand awareness, and enhance the relationships and strategy with our channel partners. We have closely aligned our sales team with our strategic channel partners and their field and inside sales teams. We have deepened and strengthened our technical consulting, architecture, and presales teams and invested significantly in advanced tools for our managed services offerings. Over the last year we have seen dramatic increases to our sales bookings and have received several awards from our channel partners including Breakout Partner of the Year, Outstanding Solutions Partner of the Year, and North America CSA Partner of the Year.
What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
My goal continues to be growth acceleration and continuing our focus on solving customers' business challenges through technology in the areas of security, IT automation, the connected workspace, and managed services. We want to continue our track record of double-digit growth through helping forward-thinking IT leaders deliver knowledge to the end-user within their unique business context to increase profitability, reduce risk, and enhance customer loyalty. We partner with leading technology and service organizations to provide tailored product and industry solutions and work to ensure an optimal fit for each individual client.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Sheryl Sandberg, CEO of Facebook. She has helped shine a spotlight on women in executive positions, and I'm personally interested in helping encourage young women to get involved in STEM education and the technology fields. There are a disproportionately low number of women working in technology today, and I find role models like Sheryl Sandberg to be key in inspiring others to follow in their footsteps and encouraging women to be bold and Lean In.
What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Be fearless. Don't be afraid of a challenge. Don't be afraid to be the smartest person in the room. Don't put limitations on yourself. You can choose to be incredibly successful and also have a family. In today's world, all those things are possible. Do something amazing and THINK BIG!
If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
I would be Wonder Woman! Because she can achieve the impossible. Juggling all the different aspects of life can be challenging, and sometimes it feels like it takes a superhero to do it all.
If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
Either Hong Kong or Dubai - places that are just larger than life. There's an energy and a sense of possibility in those cities that I find exciting and inspiring, and I also love learning about cultures that are very different from mine.
