Biography and Background:
Theresa Goodreau leads the marketing team for SPS, defining and managing national strategies to support existing clients and penetrate new market segments. Theresa ensures that corporate messaging, branding and value proposition are clearly defined and communicated, while identifying cross-functional and interdepartmental goals to guarantee that business and marketing objectives are synchronized to best support clients. Within a channel-centric model, Theresa builds the company's co-marketing relationships with more than 15 key partners, developing campaigns, messaging and events to support the company's go-to-market model as a systems integrator and managed services provider. Through speaking engagements, national learning events, content development, proactive outreach and trade-show participation, her team promotes digital transformation to improve the customer experience and value-added managed services for clients at every phase of their communication lifecycle. Prior to joining SPS through its acquisition of GEE! Communications in 2005, Theresa served in national sales roles with Lucent Technologies and OmniLink Communications Corporation (now TNS), a provider of remote access transaction processing solutions. Following her graduation from Michigan State University, Theresa served as contractor to Grumman Data Systems on the Defense Logistics Services Center (DLSC) Modernization Project.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
We are growing our market position as a systems integrator and managed services provider. Collaborative relationships with our partners are key to success and enhance our ability to serve in a strategic advisory role. I am proud to lead a team of wildly talented individuals. We seek innovative ways to facilitate partner engagement and provide programs that empower our teams to identify and solve client challenges. In the past year, we have launched a Partner Engagement Program that provides multiple touchpoints to grow awareness, increase consideration/conversion rates, and position our clients for success.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
With focus on providing solutions and services that enable our clients to succeed, we will continue to evaluate new technologies and engage partners in ways that are meaningful for our internal teams and our clients.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
I am blessed to have a network of strong and capable women within my family, workplace and beyond whom I respect and admire. These women face challenges, forge solutions, balance tenacity and grace, plus show grit and determination. An example is Kathi Shipley. Kathi challenges herself at every opportunity. She leaps obstacles with fortitude and a sense of humor. She is an accomplished triathlete and makes a difference in numerous lives in her role as a post-surgical recovery nurse. Kathi fiercely beat cancer and is an amazing mother and wife. I admire her strength and am grateful for her friendship.

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Invest your time, mindshare and resources in diverse ways that help you grow personally and professionally. Invest in yourself and your skills; always be learning. Invest in your network; have a mentor and be a mentor. Invest in challenges; vigorously seek them and learn from them. Invest in your community by giving back locally and globally. Invest in your future by being fiscally responsible.

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
If I could be a movie character for one day in real life, I would select Professor Minerva McGonagall from the Harry Potter series. McGonagall is an exceptionally effective leader, who, even in the most challenging times, showed composure, bravery and fairness.

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
My bucket-list trips include Athens, Greece and Prague, Czech Republic. In addition to incredible resilience, both have rich cultural and architectural histories that intrigue me.
